What to Pack:
We dress casually in the Bush, and appropriately for the weather. Plan to dress in layers. (Polypropylene, Polartec fleece, Capilene and Gore-Tex are all recommended fabrics, as are Buzz-Off brand insect repellent garments).
*Hiking boots or shoes
*Indoor shoes or slippers
*Underwear (including lightweight long underwear)
*Pants (jeans and/or synthetic outdoor pants)
*Shirts (long and short sleeved)
*Warm jacket, gloves and knit or fleece hat
*Swimwear (for sauna)
*Raincoat, pants and hat
*Hip boots or waders (no metal cleats or felt soles)
NOTE: You are coming to a remote part of Alaska. Please be aware that all supplies must be flown in. There are no roads, no stores, and no easily accessible medical facilities. We do, however, have an abundance of beauty, quiet, wildlife and fun! Please bring any essential items you need, as it is unlikely that these items are available in our area.
