Kayaking with Island Lodge
Island Lodge provides an excellent place to start your kayak exploration of Lake Clark. There are a waterfalls cascading down to the shore, and wildlife, islands, and bays to investigate. Yet because the lake is not more than 5 miles wide, you are never far from shore. There are many nice beaches and several freshwater streams entering the lake. The eastern end of Lake Clark is in the midst of the tall mountains of the Alaska Range. As you travel west the terrain changes to rolling tundra hills. Guided day or half-day kayak trips are included in the price of a lodge stay.
